Our Sennheiser Microphone Transmitters (SKMs) have in-built Auto MUTE functionality when a capsule is not present on the microphone. An issue some users face when using their SKMs is that even with a physically present Capsule Head, the auto MUTE function deploys.
- Unscrewing and screwing the microphone head back onto the Handheld Transmitter
- Cleaning the contact points with an electrical contact cleaner on both the Microphone Capsule Head and the Handheld Transmitter

Please note the below when exchanging microphone capsule heads:
When unscrewing the microphone head (1) during the operation, the muting function is automatically activated. "MUTE" appears on the display panel.
When screwing the microphone head (1) back to the radio microphone's body, the muting function is deactivated and "MUTE" disappears from the display panel.
