When you update your EW-DX receiver to version 4.0.0, you will be asked to Claim the device. This feature is designed to keep your device secure. With this update, all control communication will be encrypted and authenticated and you will need to create a password for the device.
First, make sure you are up to date on the latest firmware version.
Once you complete the update, you should see a “Claim Device” button appear under the Device Information section in the Device list. Click this to Claim the device.
Check the boxes on the following pop-up window to accept the license agreement and hit Next
On the following screen, you will be asked to create a new password for your device(s). The new password must be at least 10 characters long and contain at least one of each: lowercase letter, uppercase, number and a special character.
Once you set your new password, you are all done. Your device is now claimed.
