The EW-D features Auto Scan functionality to streamline set up and optimize functionality with added Smart Assist App control.
To access Auto Scan from the receiver, press the SET button on the receiver which highlights the menu on the right side of your screen.
Use the arrow keys and scroll to Auto Scan, then press SET again which begins the scan.
Press SET to accept the displayed frequency, or you can press the up arrow to scan for the next available frequency.
Press SET to accept (Esc to go back)
You can also start the Auto Scan from within the Smart Assist App if your EW-D receiver is synced to the app.
This option is accessible by clicking the three dots in the upper right of your phone screen where you can Add, Edit, and update your devices as well as Auto Scan.
Note: If you have multiple receivers added to your setup, this will scan all of them for a new frequency.
Once you have a frequency selected, it's time to sync the transmitter to the receiver.
To sync the transmitter and receiver so they are on the same frequency, briefly press the SYNC button on your receiver. The blue data LED on the receiver should start flashing.
On your transmitter, briefly press the SYNC button to complete the sync process:
- If using a handheld transmitter, this button is on the bottom of your microphone next to the power button. (Number 3 in the image below)
- If using a beltpack transmitter, this button is labeled SYNC on the top, between the antenna and the MUTE switch. (Number 1)
Once the link is established, the LINK LED on both units show green.
Note: the SYNC button during pairing should only be pressed briefly (less than two seconds.) Holding the SYNC button for longer enables firmware update mode and cancels the pairing.
