Low Cut setting range for EW-DX SK and SKM
1. Setting Range:
The EW-DX SK has a setting range of off to 120Hz. The EW-DX SKM has a setting range of 60Hz to 120Hz. The reason the SKM does not go below 60Hz is due to control any handling noise that may become audible for going below 60Hz.
2. Adjusting the Low Cut Filter on the EW-DX EM2 and EM4
Navigate to the receiver's menu, select a channel (1-4, depending on if you have an EM2 or EM4), after that, scroll down to Low Cut. There you can set the transmitters Low Cut setting from Off to 120Hz. If you are setting the low cut for an SKM, if you select anything below 60Hz, after you sync the transmitter to the receiver it will default to 80Hz as it does not have a setting for anything below 60Hz.
3. Adjusting the Low Cut filter in Sennheiser Control Cockpit
Adjusting the Low Cut parameter in Control Cockpit is actually setting the Low Cut parameter for that channel in the receiver. You then have to sync the transmitter in order for the change to affect in the transmitter. Just like setting the low cut directly on the receiver, if you are setting the low cut for an SKM, if you select anything below 60 Hz, after you sync the transmitter to the receiver, it will default to 80Hz as it does not have a setting for anything below 60Hz.
