Dear Reality, known for its high-quality spatial audio plugins, is undergoing a significant transition. Since joining the Sennheiser Group in 2019, the company has contributed greatly to the development of immersive audio tools. Now, as immersive audio becomes increasingly central to Sennheiser’s broader strategy, all related initiatives are being consolidated within the Sennheiser Group.
As a result, Dear Reality will no longer continue as an independent company.
What Does This Mean for You?
End of License Support
As part of the transition:
The Dear Reality License Manager will be deactivated on July 31, 2025.
Existing licenses will no longer be valid.
Users with previously activated plugins will encounter error messages when trying to launch or use the plugins.
The plugins will no longer be usable with the old license keys, even if they were previously activated.

To ensure continued access to your spatial audio tools, Sennheiser is making most Dear Reality plugins available free of charge.
Here’s how to get them:
Subscribe to the Sennheiser AMBEO newsletter.
After registration, you will receive access to a new installer.
The new versions of the plugins can be installed and used without license activation or restrictions.

dearVR PRO and dearVR MUSIC were distributed by Plugin Alliance. Owner of the Plugins can still access the installer via their Plugin Alliance account.
