When was dearVR UNITY discontinued, and how can I access the legacy installer?

dearVR UNITY was discontinued on September 1, 2024. However, all purchased licenses remain valid, and you can continue using the software without restriction.

The latest version of dearVR UNITY is available as a legacy installer. To download it, please sign up for the bundle using this link which will include dearVR UNITY.

EXOVERB MICRO: Error 'something went wrong' despite meeting requirements—what should I do?

This error is usually due to an incorrect buffer size. Verify you’re using one of these supported sizes: 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, or 2048.

If the issue persists, contact support with screenshots of your settings (sample rate and buffer size).

How do I redeem my voucher code?

As all plugins are now available for free, voucher codes are no longer needed or utilized.

I can't find my plugin. Where is it installed?

Dear Reality plugins come in different formats, which are installed in their corresponding default path. The most common format is VST3, which you can find here:

Win: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
macOS: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3

For the older VST standard, the installer offers a custom-path-option, the default path is:

Win: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins
macOS: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST

Pro Tools uses the AAX format. The corresponding path is:

Win: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
macOS: Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins

On how many devices can I use my plugins?

Our licenses are non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable, allowing you to use the software on up to two computers simultaneously. For more details, please refer to the product's EULA.

Are your plugin licenses multi-user licenses?

No, all plugin licenses are personal, single-user licenses and do not allow usage on a network or multi-user system by default.

My HD 490 headphones come with Dear VR Mix SE.
What is it, and how do I use it?

 Dear VR Mix SE is a promotional VST plugin that comes bundled with the HD 490 headphones.

With it placed on your Master Bus in your DAW, it allows you to simulate several mixing control rooms and listening/ambience enviornments as to better aid your production and mixing decisions.   It turns your HD 490s into a perfectly tuned Virtual Mix Room.
