In the event you encounter issues with camera tracking with your TCC2, it is advised to consider the following:
1. In Control Cockpit, verify your TCC2 firmware is up to date
[v1.8.8 on the Device tab.]
Also in Dante Controller, double check that all firmware updates have been completed within Dante Updater as well.
2. In Control Cockpit on the Zones tab, verify that the beam acting properly and tracking around the room.
It should be reflecting when someone is speaking in real time.
If the beam itself is snapped straight down all the time, verify your Dante routing within Dante Controller: this generally indicates that the TCC2’s output (on the Transmitter side) is routed to its AEC Reference Input (on the Receiver side) and sending signal to itself.
For the AEC Reference Input to work properly, the Input Level Digital meter should not be maxed out in the Control Cockpit's Audio tab. Try setting this to Automatic Gain and verifying the beam's behavior.
3. Make sure all DSP and any third-party peripheral hardware is also up to date.
This includes using the latest control plugins. QSYS, for example, has its Automatic Camera Preset Recall plugin available within its Asset Manager [as of this date, version 3.1] as well as TCC2 control plugin.
Additionally, make sure that the DSP and corresponding plugins are referencing the correct IP address for microphone coordinates. If needed, you can get the TCC2’s IP address within Control Cockpit on the Network tab, under the Ethernet column.
4. If an issue is still encountered with regards to angle data not updating, restart the TCC2 in question.
This can be done from within Control Cockpit within the Device tab, or from the network switch itself.
5. Network based considerations to consider include:
- Green Energy/Energy Efficiency Ethernet should be disabled on the network switch if possible.
- The network switch should support Diffserv (DSCP) Quality of Service with prioritized forwarding.
- In Multicast environments IGMP Snooping is necessary, and an IGMP Querier should be established.
