If you are noticing choppy audio with a TCCM or TCC2 ceiling microphone, take a look at the following.
1. Doublecheck the microphone's firmware is up to date. This can be done in Control Cockpit on the Device tab.
Also double check for separate Dante firmware in Dante Updater.
2. Ideally the microphone level meter is not maxed out in Control Cockpit on the Audio tab. The sensitivity may need to be adjusted accordingly.
Doublecheck the Output Level, and then the input level on the DSP or codec it's coming in at. It should not be maxed out at any point.
3. If enabled, try disabling True Voicelift and the Noisegate in Control Cockpit, does this help?
Multiple instances of noise gating should be avoided.
4. In the Control Cockpit's Zones tab, is the beam tracking around properly?
Are any necessary exclusion zones carved out?
If anything seems off, try power cycling the unit to see if it restores normal behavior.
5. Network considerations:
The Dante network should be utilizing a switch with gigabit ethernet capability.
DiffServ Quality of Service (QOS) should be implemented for clock prioritization.
Energy Efficient Ethernet / Green Ethernet power saving should be disabled if possible.
IGMP Snooping/Quierer should be used if deployed in a Multicast enviornment.
